Architects all around the world have tried to make a unique architectural wonder since the beginning of their trade. Some of them have managed to leave a mark in history. Many of these amazing buildings have become touristic attractions that have been luring people from all around the world. The line between a successful architectural work and an unsuccessful one is too thin. We are the ones who can judge of the success of a certain architectural masterpiece. Here are some of the most creative buildings in the world.
1. WonderWorks, Pigeon Forge, TN, USA
This upside down attraction is a treat for the mind. Here everything is upside down. When you enter this building everything will be upside down so to have fun you’ll have to be inverted. You’ll have to step into an upside-down tunnel where you’ll be turned upside down. The WonderWorks started off a top secret laboratory where professor Wonder was creating man-made tornado. Something went wrong and the laboratory was blown away by the powerful tornado. It ripped the laboratory from its foundation but somehow all the experiments inside managed to remain intact. At least this is how the story of the WonderWorks goes.
2. The Basket Building, Ohio, USA
The Longarberg Company is a manufacturer of handcraft maple wood baskets. Its headquarters in Newark looks like a giant basket. It is a well-known example of architecture. The basket handles weigh 150 tons. They can be heated during cold weather to prevent ice damage.
3. The Dancing House, Czech Republic
The Dancing House aka the Dancing Building is an architectural masterpiece in downtown Prague. It got its name due to its shape. Its original name was Fred and Ginger (after Fred Astarie and Ginger Rogers) as it resembles a pair of dancers. It was designed by Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunic. It was designed in 1992 and finished in 1996.
4. Kansas City Library, USA
The books that make the make the exterior of the Kansas City Library’s Car park are the books the books that represent Kansas City. This architectural novelty is unique in the world.
5. The Crooked House, Poland
The Crooked House aka Krzywy Domek is a strangely shaped house in Sopot, Poland. It was built in 2004 and its size is 4,000 square meters. It was designed by Szotyńscy & Zaleski and is a part of the Rezydent shopping center. It was inspired by drawings the fairytale illustrations and drawings of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg.
