Vakhegula Vakhegula, which means “grannies” in the local Xitshonga language, is indeed a unique amateur football team from South-Africa, a real kick of life and passion in the all too often market and money driven world of football. The average age of the women is 70 years, but a couple of eighty-somethings on the bench are always ready to kick the ball.
