Google began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stanford University in California. 14 Years later Google is one of the most recognised brands in the world, runs over one million servers in data centers around the world, handles more than one bilion search requests per day and makes an obscene amount of profit. Some of these profits go into creating one of the most relaxed and fun working environments an employee could wish for.
